  Mr Monkhouse is an orthopaedic consultant specialist in foot and ankle specialist  at Leeds Teaching Hospitals since 2005. Having focused on foot and ankle surgery from early in his career, Mr Monkhouse trained with the most distinguished experts in Yorkshire and the Midlands, and is a FRCSE in trauma and orthopaedics. He has 16 years in private practice at Leeds Nuffield Hospital, the only private hospital in West Yorkshire rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC. Graduated Mb ChB from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 1991, with post-graduate training in orthopaedics, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in trauma and orthopaedic Surgery in 2004 completing specialist training in foot and ankle surgery at the Birmingham Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
